Printable Maps and Quizzes for Teachers and Parents
Free printable geography resources: blank maps of the world and every continent, labelled maps, "label the countries" worksheets with answer keys, capitals quizzes and flag colouring sheets. Everything prints on A4 or US Letter, in black and white, and every page has PDF downloads.
These sheets were made for classrooms, home-schooling and kitchen-table geography. Each one is original to GeoKnow, drawn from public-domain Natural Earth map data, and designed to be clear on a basic school printer without wasting ink.

Tips for teachers and parents
- Start blank, finish labelled. Hand out the blank map first so pupils learn by trying, then give them the labelled version to self-check.
- Mix paper and play. Short bursts of the free GeoKnow geography games make a good follow-up, because they test exactly the same facts: shapes, capitals, neighbours and flags.
- Use the answer keys. Every worksheet comes with a key as its last page, and the print buttons let you print the key on its own.
- Print at 100%. Choose A4 or US Letter in the dialog and leave scaling at 100% for the best fit.
Questions
Are these printables free?
Yes. They are free to print and copy for home and classroom use. If you share them online, a link back to this page is appreciated.
Do they work on A4 and US Letter?
Yes. Every sheet fits within the margins of both sizes, and each page offers separate A4 and US Letter PDFs.
Where does the map data come from?
From Natural Earth, a public-domain map dataset, simplified for printing. Borders are simplified, and some are disputed or changing, so treat the maps as learning aids rather than legal boundary references.
Are there US state maps?
Not yet. GeoKnow's map data is at country level, so there are no state or province outlines. The United States page shows the country with Canada and Mexico.
Map data: Natural Earth (public domain), simplified. Disputed borders and territories are shown as outlines only and the maps take no position on their status.
