The world map shows every country and territory in the outline data, drawn in the Natural Earth projection so that the shapes look familiar and the polar regions are not stretched out of proportion.

Ideas for using the blank map
- Label from memory. Ask pupils to write in every country they know, then check against the labelled map.
- Colour by region. Colour the continents, or shade countries by language, climate or population.
- Plot a topic. Mark rivers, mountain ranges, capital cities, a journey or a current-affairs story. The black-and-white outline keeps ink use low.
- Make it a quiz. Number ten countries by hand and ask a partner to name them, or use the ready-made numbered worksheet.
How to print
Press the print button, then choose A4 or Letter in the print dialog and keep the scale at 100% (not "fit to page" with extra margins). Each sheet is designed to fill one page with a small margin on either size, and your browser's headers and footers can be switched off in the same dialog. Prefer a file? Download the PDF at the top.

Questions
How many countries are on this blank map?
The map draws all 204 country and territory outlines in the Natural Earth data used by GeoKnow, including a number of small island countries that appear as dots.
Does it print on A4 and US Letter?
Yes. The sheet is designed to fit inside the margins of both A4 and US Letter paper at 100% scale, so choose either size in your print dialog. The PDF downloads are provided in both sizes.
Are the borders accurate?
The outlines come from Natural Earth public-domain data and are simplified for printing, so very small islands and fine coastline detail are reduced. Some borders are disputed; the map is a teaching tool, not an authority on boundaries.
Maps are drawn from Natural Earth (public domain) outline data and simplified for printing. Borders shown are simplified and some are disputed or changing; GeoKnow maps are learning aids, not authoritative boundary references, and showing a territory does not imply any position on its status.
