Questions
What is a false friend?
A pair of words in two languages that look or sound similar but differ in meaning, such as German Gift (poison) and English gift.
How were the words checked?
Each entry was checked against a dictionary entry in the right language. If we could not confirm it, it is not in the game.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
It is free and needs no sign-up. The site sets no cookies. Daily results, streaks and personal bests are saved only in your own browser.
How does Challenge a friend work?
When you finish, tap Challenge a friend, optionally type a name (up to 12 characters) and send the link. It holds the game, difficulty, puzzle, your name and score, so your friend plays the same puzzle and sees who won. Nothing is stored on a server.
